Master's Message children's class discussion topic of the week.
“I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health.” - Cobra Martial Arts Student Creed - Verse 1
This opening verse of our Student Creed reminds us of some of the values upheld at Cobra Martial Arts. Some values martial artists live by include:
self-respect
self-confidence
self- discipline
courage
Here at Cobra we are lucky, as we develop these values every week through the training program.
Unfortunately however many kids in today’s society are not taught these important values, and are smoking, vaping, drinking alcohol, and using drugs.
These substances have terrible effects on the kids involved, on their families, and on their friends.
They also have terrible effects on your body, and will prevent you from becoming a fit and healthy black belt. They can even leave you brain damaged or dead.
As martial artists we must use our:
self-respect
self-confidence
self- discipline
courage
to say ‘NO’ to these poisonous substances, and "NO" to unhealthy peer pressure.
Having the strength and confidence to say ‘NO’ and the courage to walk away from people who offer you these substances, shows extreme courage, even more than breaking a wooden board with a kick.
By avoiding these substances you will be upholding the Student Creed and 9 tenets of Cobra.
You will develop a powerful mind and body, and will be well on your way to becoming a Cobra black belt.

One of the biggest lessons martial arts teaches is discipline, and that applies just as much outside the dojo as it does during training. I reckon habits like smoking, vaping, alcohol and drugs can really hold people back from reaching their full potential. Even with so much promotion around products from an online vape shop Australia, it's important to think about long-term health and performance. Staying fit, focused and clear-headed gives martial artists a real edge. Cheers for sharing this valuable perspective.
This really highlights how important it is for martial artists to look after their bodies and stay focused on long-term health. These habits can seriously affect fitness, recovery and overall performance. Even with so much promotion online, including sites like Official Cigarettes Nearby Website, it's good to see awareness being raised about the risks. Discipline and self-control are a huge part of martial arts, both in training and everyday life. Cheers for sharing such valuable insights.
