Cobra Martial Arts for Self Defence and Fitness!
Cobra Martial Arts students who attend the recommended two sessions each week experience significant health, fitness and strength improvements within their first month of training. You are not expected to be 'in shape', fit, nor flexible to begin training in the Cobra Martial Arts beginner's classes. It is OUR job, to work with you, gradually improving your health, fitness and self defence capabilty. As a beginner it is important that you participate at your own pace and only increase your intensity as your fitness improves.
Format of Cobra Martial Arts lessons
Cobra Martial Arts lessons are structured and disciplined, commencing with warm-up exercises, fitness work and strengthening exercises. The lesson progresses onto stretching exercises for improved flexibilty, practice of self defence techniques and combinations, partner-work, pad-work, and sparring for the more experienced only (not beginners).
The Freestyle or Mixed Martial Arts Concept
Instructors at Cobra Martial Arts & Fitness Centres are highly qualified, experienced and certified in a range of martial arts styles. As such, Cobra Martial Arts & Fitness Centres teach a very popular and unique hybrid or blended form of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) to both children and adults. The system is similar in concept to Jeet Kune Do, developed by the legendary Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto. As such, the Cobra Martial Arts system combine best aspects from the most popular and practical martial arts into one complete Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) system.
The Cobra Martial Arts system comprises of the six most popular and practical martial arts styles being Karate, Traditional Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Muay Thai Boxing (Kickboxing), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Filipino Eskrima (also known as Kali and Arnis). This variety also ensures that the program remains fresh and exciting for all ages.
Locations and Timetable
Cobra Martial Arts & Fitness Centres have two full-time training centres located in Cannington and Myaree, Perth, Western Australia, which are open 6 days a week. The flexible class timetable allows lessons during the day, night and weekends, meaning that there is ample opportunity for you to attend classes every week. The school conducts classes at night, evenings, mornings, lunchtime and weekends. Personal Training (private lessons) in martial arts and / or fitness are also available by appointment and can even be shared with a friend at no extra cost.
